Macritch Hill Wind Farm is the next BIG threat to Glenisla and the surrounding area. ENECO are planning a massive wind farm in conjunction with Scottish Water who are the landowners at the Backwater Reservoir. As the development is over 50MW the planning application will be subject to Section 36. This means that it is submitted not to Angus Council but to the Energy Consents and Deployment Unit, a Scottish Government department based in Glasgow.
SNH have objected to the development. Click HERE to see their comments.
